- Our product against microplastic pollution

The Problem

Abrasion from road traffic has a density of around 1 g/cm³, classifying it as suspended solids that are difficult to separate through sedimentation in settling basins. Particles such as natural rubber (e.g., tire wear) enter our water bodies without additional filtration and are a major contributor to the high concentration of microplastics in aquatic environments.

The Solution

With an impressive dirt-holding capacity of up to 50 kg per sludge bucket, FIBALON®drain enables optimal maintenance intervals of up to one year.

Maximum Filtration Efficiency

FIBALON®drain is characterized by outstanding filtration performance. With fine filtration down to 8 µm, it effectively retains the majority of particles defined under AFS63. In addition, its specialized surface structure makes it particularly effective at capturing synthetic materials – a key source of microplastic contamination.

Flexibility and Simplicity

Adapting to various sludge buckets has never been easier. Thanks to customizable net sections, FIBALON®drain can be effortlessly tailored to meet specific system requirements. The filter’s intuitive handling ensures excellent practicality in day-to-day operations.

OPTIONAL: For applications requiring the retention of particles with very high density, we offer an optional special filter net. This not only simplifies installation and replacement but also enhances the overall efficiency of the FIBALON®drain system.

Continuous Flow

Filter channels between the fiber balls ensure a continuous water flow, eliminating the risk of clogging and guaranteeing reliable operation.
